Blade trudged through the halls, gripping onto the strap of his backpack. A couple days ago, he had gotten strep throat, and wasn't able to go to school. Now, he feels as better as ever. Though, he was late for class. Not a good way to get bet into the swing of things... The goth thought to himself, running a hand through his ebony hair in an impatient manner. He really hoped his math teacher wouldn't give him a hard time...

Cody noted the empty desk next to him, and took the precaution to store his backpack on the desk before taking his geometry textbook, just to look like a good student, and stored his iPod away with a cheesy grin.

Blade scuffed as fast as he could down the hall, his boots squeaking lightly upon the polished tile floor. When he finally approached the door to the classroom, he power-walked into the room, avoiding the stares of his classmates, and strode over to his desk. The goth threw his backpack beside him, waving to Cody as he sat down. "Hey." He said before bending down to pull out all of the homework he had finished for math class.

Cody grinned, pleased that Blade was better. He dragged his discarded backpack off his friend's desk, and chatted, discreetly lowering his voice. "So, how's your and Raven's fight against Chloe?"

A small smile grew upon Blade's thin face. "Once I finally get the chance to meet with her posse alone, it'll be a breeze!" The goth chuckled. "Everyone knows Chloe's easy, so any guy's possible with her!"

"I know right?" Cody affirmed, "She even tried to get me...and not just in the romantic way." Cody squeezed his eyes closed and shuddered. "I mean I know I'm a guy, and I'm the kinda guy who likes...that kind of stuff, but not from Chloe; thankfully I escaped in time."

Blade's face twisted in disgust. "Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that!" He stated. "No need to hide anymore, though. I'm the one who has to hide this time, and it's starting to be a real pain in the ass." Blade picked at the stud of his glove, and looked up at his friend with his hollow silver eyes. "She won't grow up and move on. Instead, she's looking to seduce me, which is never going to work with me."

Cody patted Blade's shoulder sympathetically. "You poor child." Then, tending towards his impish streak that came with being a practical jokester, he added, "I'd love to see her try that on that kid Crow--he's so socially awkward to start with." His turquoise eyes sparkled with mirth.

Blade couldn't help but heave a laugh. "Well, she would try with anyone. Even if Crow is socially awkward, she wouldn't care about his personality. She would care about what's beneath the pants." Blade snickered, flipping his lengthy locks of hair.

Cody shrugged. "Fair point," the ginger conceded. Then he realized the teacher--the whole class in fact--was staring at him. "Uh, sorry, what?" The teacher glared at him. "I was asking you the answer to Problem Two, if you don't mind missing a few minutes of gothic gossip?" Cody's face burned even brighter then his hair and he bowed his head slightly. "Um..." he said, looking at his book, "'X' equals seven."

Blade slowly turned away from his friend, and faced the front of the room. He slowly raised his hand high up in the air. "Uh- Ms. Jerivich? I have my homework for you..." The goth said, pointing to the few papers spread upon his desk. The teacher glared at Blade in an irritated manner. "Good. Put them on my desk, Mr. Belden." She said sternly. Blade nodded, getting up, and placing the work on his teacher's desk. As he walked back to his seat, his eyes widened at Cody, as if to facially say, "This is going to be a long class..."

Cody nodded slightly and slumped his head on his desk dramatically and shooting himself in the head with a finger gun. He looked at his watch. "Still 36 more minutes," he whispered to Blade.

Blade rolled his eyes, heaving a huge sigh as he plopped back down in his seat. 36 more minutes left. He can't even live 36 seconds in this class. Ms. Jerivich hated him and Cody. Mostly because they talk a lot. But hey, that's what friends do. Blade began to fiddle with his thumbs, staring over at Cody. "I think we should all fail this class to get her fired." He said in barely a whisper.

Cody blinked. "Are you kidding? My parents would KILL me--not to mention if I want to be a writer, I can't flunk my classes, even math." Although, he thought to himself, I would love to see Ms. Jerivitch get fired.

Blade bit his lip. "Point taken... well, at least if the principal comes by and sees her yelling her brains out at us, maybe he'd do something." The goth stated, pulling at the rip on his jean leg.
